Enid Board of Education approved staff retention/incentive stipends at their regular meeting on Monday, July 18.

All returning employees will receive a $1,000 stipend in August, and new employees will receive $250 in September - in addition to their monthly paychecks.

“We are happy to be able to implement Part 4 of our EPS Incentive/Retention Stipend Plan of an additional $1,000 for all returning employees,” said Dr. Darrell Floyd, superintendent. “We value them, we value what they do for our students on a daily basis, and we are happy they are returning this year.”

The one-time funds will be issued to all returning certified and support staff.

In addition, Floyd added that the district is happy to be giving an incentive stipend to new employees this fall.

“We are also pleased to be providing a $250 incentive for all new hires to EPS this year, and we look forward to the positive attributes they will bring to our school district as well.”
