Enid Public Schools has chosen William Milton as head coach of the girls’ varsity basketball team and Jonathan Reed as head coach of the boys’ varsity basketball team.

 Their duties will be taken on immediately.

 EPS Athletic Director Billy Tipps said these new additions to the EHS athletic staff will be a great fit.

 “We are thankful to add two coaches with this kind of experience,” said Tipps. “They both bring a wealth of experience from different levels and types of programs. With the experiences that they have, we are looking forward to their leadership in our basketball programs as well as in the classroom.”

 Milton has 16 years of experience in coaching or physical education, including Northern Oklahoma College – Enid assistant women’s basketball coach. He holds certifications and memberships in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, American Health Care Academy First Aid Safety and Adult, Child, Infant CPR/AED. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in sport fitness and management from Midwestern State University and is currently pursuing a master of arts in kinesiology at Fresno Pacific University.

 Reed is currently the CEO/General Manager of the Enid Outlaws. He has coached at Central Florida Community College where he won a conference championship and at Western Heights Public Schools. He played professional basketball at the NBA Summer League and professionally 10 years in Europe. He holds a provisional license in business and earned his bachelor of arts from Clayton State University.

 Milton replaces Nina Gregory as the head girls’ basketball coach and Reed replaces Curtis Foster as the head boys’ basketball coach.
