Enid Public Schools will welcome its newest students this Thursday and Friday during four-year-old enrollment for the 2017-18 school year.
Enrollment for the four-year-old programs will be held at Coolidge, Eisenhower, Glenwood, Hayes, Hoover, McKinley, Monroe, Prairie View and Taft elementary schools on Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students should enroll at their home schools.
Due to current enrollment at each site, students from Adams Elementary School and Garfield Elementary School, along with other students, will attend Carver Early Childhood Center, located at 815 S. 5th. Enrollment will be Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Carver.
Enrollment for the full-day, intergenerational four-year-old program at The Commons, 301 S. Oakwood will be Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their site. In the intergenerational program, residents of the center volunteer in the classroom and serve as “grandma” and “grandpa” buddies for the children.
Enrollment for the full-day four-year-old program at NWOSU, 2929 E. Randolph, will be Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the university. The program is located inside Enid’s branch of NWOSU, and college-level students volunteer their time to work with students.
All EPS four-Year-Old programs focus on the social, academic, physical and emotional needs of children. Students must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2017. Parents enrolling their children as EPS students for the first time should bring the children’s birth certificate (no hospital footprints, please), immunization records, and verification of address – utility bill, etc.
