Enid Public Schools is looking for outstanding teachers for the 2017-18 school year.
The district will host a teacher career fair Tuesday evening in the Administrative Services Center Boardroom, located at 500 S. Independence. Candidates will have the opportunity to meet with administrators in an informal setting from 4-6 p.m. Formal interviews will be scheduled between 6:15-8:15 p.m.
"We believe our students deserve the best and the brightest teachers, so we are recruiting now for next school year," Amber Graham Fitzgerald, Executive Director of Communications & Human Resources, said. "The career fair will give area teachers and new teachers the opportunity to learn more about our district, and it will allow us to explore their strengths as educators."
Those attending the career fair will have the opportunity to visit with all principals. Other school officials also will be present to answer questions and talk with potential team members.
"This is our fifth annual career fair, and we have had teachers from across the country join us for this event in the past," Fitzgerald said. "We also want to encourage current and future area educators to join us to learn more about what makes EPS a special place to work and to learn. We offer a very competitive compensation package and provide $2,000 recruitment stipends for secondary math, science and foreign language, as well as all levels of special education."
Candidates are encouraged to attend if they are certified in Oklahoma, certified in another state or are currently student teaching.
