HR & COMMUNICATIONS ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

DIRECTOR
Oversees all elements of HR & Communications
Provides final approval for all district hires
Assists with staffing projections and needs
Develops strategies for recruiting and retaining the best teachers and support team members
Oversees the implementation and integration of all TalentEd programs
Provides second-tier assistance with HR & Communication problems or issues
Develops and implements a comprehensive communication plan that promotes EPS as the district of choice
Develops key messages for communication and serve as primary media spokesperson
Identifies and implements strategies to recognize the efforts of EPS team members and students
Identifies opportunities for improvement in the areas of HR & Communications
Provides professional development that promotes employee support, effectiveness and accountability
Provides professional development that promotes better district communication and community outreach
Manages the HR & Communications team
Other duties as assigned

HR SPECIALIST
Oversees onboarding for certified staff and overflow of support staff
Maintains and updates all district job descriptions
Manages district vacancies, applications and job pools using Recruit & Hire
Oversees initial contact and first impression for all certified hires
Prepares new hire/status forms for all certified staff members
Provides proper screening for employee credentials
Manages certified employee personnel records
Assists with recruitment strategies
Makes recommendations for streamlining onboarding paperwork
Uploads job postings to career search and university websites
Prepares correspondence for all new certified hires
Fields questions about compensation and job qualifications from potential employees and current employees
Serves as a liaison between HR and the Business Department
Other duties as assigned

HR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Oversees onboarding for support staff and overflow for certified staff
Oversees initial contact and first impression for all support hires
Prepares onboarding and benefit packets
Oversees scheduling for physicals, drug screenings and background checks
Prepares new hire/status forms for all support staff members
Prepares correspondence for all new support hires
Manages support employee personnel records
Manages substitute personnel records
Manages employee database
Prepares all annual employee notices
Prepares the support employee SPR
Fields questions about compensation and job qualifications from potential employees and current employees
Assists with copier maintenance
Other duties as assigned

COMMUNICATIONS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Serves as primary AESOP administrator
Oversees website updates
Oversees scheduling of messages for marquee and social media
Oversees mobile application updates and push notifications
Manages Blackboard Connect contacts
Provides website training for building-level team members
Assists with proofing of all department publications
Updates annual press releases and publications
Reviews and distributes mail daily
Provides welcome packets to new families
Manages volunteer database and applications
Covers the front desk as needed
Assists with event planning
Other duties as assigned

RECEPTIONIST
Responsible for the first impression of all CO guests
Assists with basic district information questions
Assists with phone etiquette and first impression training for all new CO employees
Assists with bulk mailing
Facilitates timely approval of Request to Distribute forms
Other duties as assigned
